A three-floor Whole Foods is being developed at 250 East 57th Street, at Second Avenue, by the World-Wide Group. The supermarket will be 47,000 square feet, and sit above the High School of Art and Design and P.S. 59. It will be the chain’s eighth location in New York City, giving the city the largest cluster of Whole Foods in the nation. Construction is expected to be completed by 2012.
