Rapper DMX’s house to be auctioned

A townhouse at 2007 Fifth Avenue, near 125th Street, owned by rapper DMX will be sold at a sheriff’s auction on Wednesday. DMX, whose legal name is Earl Simmons, bought the four-family house in 2001 for $750,000. After enduring a stop-work order and problems with contractors, he never finished renovating the building. Proceeds from the sale will go to a judgment made against him in favor of a dog clothing company.
