Steel has arrived at the World Trade Center site, where construction of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum can now start. The memorial will be a formally landscaped plaza wrapping around two square voids where the twin towers stood, with the names of victims displayed around the voids. The memorial and museum will cost $530 million, and more than 8,000 tons of steel are being shipped to Lower Manhattan for the project.
