Upstate projects first to get stimulus funding

Bridge replacement, highway resurfacing and drainage projects in
upstate New York will be the first projects in the state to be funded
by the federal stimulus package. Contractors will bid on the 11 jobs
in this group of upstate projects as soon as March 5. In New York
City, developer Bruce Ratner has reportedly been lobbying for federal stimulus money to go towards his $4 billion Atlantic Yards
project.
