State to add interest to Trump’s back rent

New York State wants to add interest on the $207,000 in back rent it claims Donald Trump owes on his planned banquet hall at Jones Beach in Nassau County, LI. State Concessions Management Bureau Director Harold Hagemann Jr. said in a letter that the state will impose interest of 4 percent per year on the rent payment, which the state says was due last June. Trump’s lawyer, Steven Schlesinger, said the state park officials “can stick it in their ear.”
