Locals raising eyebrows at residential club

Upper West Siders are skeptical of a proposal by European real estate company Armonia to create an exclusive residential club at 15 West 68th Street. Membership would be restricted to people with an as yet undecided minimum net worth, and those members would pay several thousand dollars to join and as much as $50,000 per week to stay in the building. “We don’t live like that on the West Side,” said one community board member, Page Cowley. Armonia plans to restore the building, which was built in 1909 and later divided into apartments, to a one-family space.
