BJ’s Wholesale Club just signed
a lease for 121,000 square feet at Muss Development’s shopping center at Sky View
Park in Flushing, Queens. The asking rent for the 20-year ground-floor
deal was not disclosed, but sources said asking rents in the area are
around $40 per square foot. The store is expected
to open in November. Other retailers at the shopping center include Bed
Bath & Beyond, Best Buy and Target. Last week, Real Deal columnist Michael Stoler looked at big-box retailers invading New York.
