Real estate lawyer and family found dead

A Manhattan real estate lawyer allegedly killed his wife and two daughters in a Maryland hotel room before committing suicide, according to press accounts. A hotel worker found the bodies of William Parente, his 58-year-old wife Betty, and daughters Stephanie, 19, and Catherine, 11. Cops did not disclose the cause of death, which is suspected to be a murder-suicide. “The why and the motive in this is just a big blank right now,” said Michael Hill of the Baltimore County Police. Hill said the parents were in Maryland to visit Stephanie, a sophomore at Loyola College.
