Several cash-strapped programs in the Bronx are tapped to receive much-needed funding, according to the 2010 fiscal year plan released by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz’s office today. Diaz allocated more than $21 million for community-enhancement programs, with the majority of the funding going to housing, education and parks throughout the borough. Community centers, libraries and cultural groups are also slated to receive funds.
