Fort Lauderdale Catholic hospital Holy Cross has started renovations on a 55,000-square-foot space it plans to make into a dedicated women’s center. Plans for the $15 million project, which has been designed by architect Gresham Smith and supported exclusively by charitable donations, call for a cuisine center, a women’s boutique, a research center and other medical facilities. The Dorothy Mangurian Comprehensive Women’s Center will sit on the western end of the hospital’s properties at 1000 NE 56 Street. Stiles Construction is the general contractor and SSR is the engineering firm. It is slated for completion by the fall. TRD
