Construction foreman falls to his death on Bedford Avenue

Luis Zaruma, 36, a construction foreman from Williamsburg, plummeted to his death yesterday, according to the Daily News. Zaruma, who worked for Roth Metal Works, fell from the fifth story of A Residential Building Under Construction On Bedford Avenue in Clinton Hill around 3:40 p.m. NYPD officials said the cause of the accident was under investigation, but a Department of Buildings spokesperson said Zaruma “was not wearing a safety harness.” [NYDN]
