The current Dinosaur location and its new, soon-to-be home
Popular Harlem eatery Dinosaur BBQ is making its much-anticipated — and much-delayed — move today, relocating to 700 West 125th Street on the corner of 12th Avenue, a 7,200-square-foot space just south of its spot at 646 West 131st Street, also on the corner of 12th Avenue.
The restaurant, which has been closed since Monday, is in the midst of its move today, an employee confirmed to The Real Deal this afternoon. The eatery is planning to reopen tomorrow.
The restaurant, which also has locations in Syracuse and Rochester, opened its Harlem location in 2004.
Dinosaur had originally planned to move into its new space last fall, following an estimated $2 million renovation. Although Dinosaur officials were not immediately available for comment, past reports have indicated that a delayed permit approval for an outdoor patio had hampered progress this past spring.
