Rare Cobble Hill assemblage asks $4.5M

A rare Cobble Hill parcel made up of several storefronts and two multi-family properties has just hit the market, and is asking $4.5 million. The assemblage — three addresses, comprising two storefronts and five apartments spread over two buildings — is on a tree-lined corner in an area where such properties rarely become available, Joan Goldberg, of Brown Harris Stevens, told The Real Deal.

The storefronts could be turned into residential units, Goldberg said, or they could house a restaurant. “An architect and a good designer could [turn it onto a single-family home],” she said. “There are myriad uses,” for the adjacent multi-use townhomes, which were built in the Greek Revival style.

The three addresses — 132 Kane Street, 6 Cheever Place and 8 Cheever Place — are being sold by a family that has held the property for 50 years, according to Goldberg.
