First Nest Seekers and Loho Realty changed window shopping with virtual open houses, then Rubicon Property designed interactive window display’s in-house for their offices and Town Residential unveiled LED window displays. Now Halstead Property is introducing “the fifth screen”: interactive storefronts that will allow passersby to explore property listings in real time, Inman reported.

Halstead has signed an exclusive but limited-time deal with Boston-based real estate tech startup imageSurge to bring searchable displays to its office fronts, where customers can navigate five-button slim displays featuring art-heavy property listings.

“The window is almost the last frontier — we’re bringing digital technology to the window,” Oleg Vyadro, the company’s COO, said. “I think if people have a nice real estate location with windows, [an interactive storefront is] much more elegant looking. It draws attention and people can interact with it.”

Besides offering real time property information, the displays also give passersby information about open houses and community events. [Inman] —Christopher Cameron
