WEEKENDEDITION Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow is getting DIY in her latest project at her Amagansett home.

Instead of hiring a pricey decorator, Paltrow opted to use Room in a Box, a home decorating guide that arrives in a small neatly packaged box created by Windsor Smith.

“You go on the site, upload photos, dimensions, the pieces you want to keep, inspirational photos of your dream space, price point, etc. A few weeks later, your box arrives with an illustration of your new room, fabric samples, furniture and suggestions for everything from paint to art, all from the design studio of Windsor Smith,” the actress said.

Room in a Box helped Platrow transform her space from a cream theme with orange and purple highlights to a more “cozy” yet “elegant” modern day salon with a palette of soft neutrals. [E! News]Christopher Cameron
