A 74-room mansion that once served as Napoleon Bonaparte’s wartime headquarters during the Battle of Marengo is up for sale.
Built in the 18th-century, Villa La Voglina in Piedmont, Italy, was designed by world-renowned Baroque architect Filippo Juvarra. The property sits on 60 acres and has a whopping 13 bedrooms, nine bathrooms and a private chapel with seating for 30 people, according to the Daily Mail.
The property is asking roughly $5.7 million with Beauchamp Estates, which also has a two-bedroom flat for sale at a similar price in London’s Belgravia, the Mail noted.
The home also includes formal gardens and terraces, as well as a vineyard, which, if restored, could produce around 100,000 bottles of wine per year. [Daily Mail] – Christopher Cameron
