A limited liability company shelled out $7.81 million for playwright Lanford Wilson’s former Sag Harbor home, 27east reported. Owner Shaun Woodward, who was secretary of state for Northern Ireland from 2007 to 2010, purchased the home in 2012 — a year after Wilson’s death, according to the outlet. The 1840s-built home spans 6,200 square feet and has five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and two half-baths. “It’s a wonderful home to live your life in and to share with your family and friends,” Woodward told the outlet after the house listed for $9 million. Compass’ Matthew Breitenbach and Beth Felsen had the listing. [27east]
