A developer is considering plans to expand a Mission District property, adding units and moving an existing building.

The property, located at 350 San Jose Avenue, currently has a two-story building with four residential units, San Francisco YIMBY reports.

The proposed plan calls for a three-story expansion of the structure that will add nine additional units. SIA Consulting, the company handling development and design of the project, is hoping to offer six one-bedroom units, six two-bedroom units and one studio apartment.

The most unconventional part of the project is to move the existing building 15 feet closer to the sidewalk.
Vanguard Properties purchased the property for just over $2 million in 2017 and construction is expected to cost $3.6 million. A timeline for the project has not been released yet.
