Shang Dai is the CEO of Kuafu Properties, a New York-based real estate development firm that has been called “the ultimate bridge” between Chinese investors and US real estate. He is also the founder of law firm Dai & Associates. Dai co-founded Kuafu with architect Zengliang Shan in 2013 and began work developing the Hudson Rise luxury condo-hotel in Hudson Yards at 470 Eleven Avenue. Other recent projects in development include 1 MiMA Tower (purchased from Related Cos.) and East 60th Street, which both feature luxury condominiums.
Dai was born in the rural northern province of Hebei in China. The name Kuafu means “beyond wealth.” He is a graduate of Nankai University and William & Mary Law School.
