Building NYC: The Real Deal Celebrates the City’s Top General Contractors

New York City’s premier builders and construction titans took center stage on May 28, gathering to celebrate during an exclusive reception at the Seville in NoMad.

Sponsored by The P.C. Richard & Son Builders Division, the evening brought together the elite firms driving the city’s skyline forward, recognizing the top-ranked general contractors in both the new development and alterations categories. As construction pipelines navigate shifting market demands, the gathering honored these builders for their record-breaking contributions and relentless execution in a complex urban environment.

The attendee list featured a formidable roster of the city’s most active and respected construction firms including AECOM, Broadway Builders, Gilbane, JOY Construction Group, Skanska, Turner Construction Company, and many more. Opening remarks were delivered by The Real Deal Chief Sales Officer Ross Fox alongside Rick Torre, Executive Director at P.C. Richard & Son, highlighting the critical synergies between elite general contracting firms and the world-class suppliers who keep their projects running on schedule.

As a trusted partner to major developers and builders in the New York metro and from the Mid Atlantic to New England, P.C. Richard & Son’s Builder Division has long been a vital asset to the city’s most prestigious residential projects. From supplying premium, luxury appliance packages for massive new developments to the most affordable workforce housing projects, including 432 Park Ave, the Flatiron Building, Brooklyn’s Domino Sugar Factory, and Nehemiah Spring Creek, the legendary family-owned brand remains deeply integrated into the city’s building community.

The company’s extensive footprint includes outfitting landmark residential conversions, iconic luxury towers, and high-density new developments across Manhattan and the outer boroughs.

By honoring the builders who master both ground-up new developments and highly complex structural alterations, the event cemented the status of these general contractors as the true vanguard of NYC’s built environment.
