Ongoing renovations at Billy Joel’s Sag Harbor home haven’t violated any building codes, despite concerns from a member of the Sag Harbor Historic Preservation and Architectural Review Board, 27east reported. The board member, architect David Berridge, expressed concerns about a tarp covering the home on Bay Street and said it appeared the singer’s team was building a new house around the old one rather than renovating it. Sag Harbor Building Inspector Thomas Preiato, however, didn’t find any code violations at the site, the outlet reported. (Berridge still maintains Joel’s team may have taken advantage of a loophole.)
