Summer home sales on the North Fork increased 11 percent year-over-year, Behind The Hedges reported, citing an analysis from Town & Country Real Estate. Corcoran’s third quarter report, meanwhile, found that the average price on the North Fork increased by 1 percent year-over-year, and the median price went up by 13 percent year-over-year. “The media has done a bang-up job letting the public know about the farms, vineyards and rural nature of the region,” Town & Country CEO Judi Desiderio told the outlet. “Couple that with a very attainable price point and the result is heightened demand.” [BTH]
