A billionaire’s plans to relocate a mansion from its current location to a 4.8-acre parcel in Amagansett have been halted, 27east reported. East Hampton Town gave former hedge fund manager Michael Novogratz a permit to move the home on Ocean View Lane at the beginning of November, but issued a stop-work this month. Novogratz’s team secured the permit based on county tax maps that didn’t show a “paper road” on the property. A Springs resident then came forward with documents “supporting the paper road’s legal existence,” according to the outlet. Novogratz will have to submit new plans that meet setback requirements based on the existence of the road. [27east]
