A ShopRite and a handful of other retail stores could replace a shuttered movie theater in Elmsford, the Westchester County Business Journal reported. The 10-acre site on Saw Mill River Road is currently home to a 42,000-square-foot building that used to operate as a National Amusements theater, as well as another multilevel retail building. Both of those would be razed as part of property owner Lewis Masters Holdings LP’s proposal, according to the outlet. The proposed plan includes a 75,111-square-foot ShopRite, 13,765 square feet of retail space and a separate, 3,000-square-foot retail building. The town of Greenburgh would have to approve the project for it to move forward. [WBJ]
