New house on East Hampton sells for $13M

A newly-built home on an East Hampton property that was once home to an assistant to President Richard Nixon has sold for $13 million, 27east reported. Dwight Chapin, who served first as Nixon’s special assistant and then as his deputy assistant — and was found guilty of perjury after Watergate — sold a 4,700-square-foot home at 20 Hook Pond Lane in 2017, according to the outlet. That home was replaced by a new, 10,000-square-foot house designed by Abstract Builders, which was recently purchased by Allison and Hal Mintz.
