The owner of a glass house in Springs that East Hampton Town claimed was being used for illegal parties and events will fork over $32,000 as part of a settlement, Newsday reported. The town secured a temporary restraining order against owner Juan Figueroa this past summer in an effort to stop him from hosting commercial events at the residential property, including parties for celebrity brands. “The Town of East Hampton will continue to take action against those who misuse their properties, violating our town code and negatively impacting neighborhoods,” East Hampton Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc said in a statement. Figueroa didn’t respond to the outlet’s request for comment. [Newsday]
