Commercial landlords on Long Island are “scrambling” as their tenants lose business amid the growing novel coronavirus crisis, Long Island Business News reported. Some, like Charles Lefkowitz, president of Port Jefferson-based Louis Lefkowitz Realty Three, say they are going to “deal with it on a tenant-by-tenant, case-by-case basis.” Others, like Basser Kaufman principal Steven Kaufman, are hoping that assistance for small businesses will come through for their tenants. “We encourage them to exhaust whatever possibilities they can seek for relief,” Kaufman told the outlet, adding that the firm “will pursue whatever avenues are available to us.” [LIBN]
