A 14-room home with that good ol’ castle feel is on the market for $1.25 million in Monroe, according to Mansion Global. The stone-built mansion has become somewhat of a local landmark for its medieval styling, but it’s also got an interesting pedigree. It was built by notorious bootlegger and scam artist Philip Mariano Fausto Musica, the mastermind behind the McKesson & Robbins financial fraud of 1938. Later owners reportedly hosted guests including Humphrey Bogart and Bette Davis. Its current owners bought it in 2013 after hearing it was to be demolished, and undertook a renovation.
