Despite the economic slowdown of the last few weeks, Carlstadt-based Onyx Equities has secured new leases and extensions in the Tri-State area, according to NJBIZ. The firm owns or manages more than 6.5 million square feet of real estate in region. Law firm McCarter & English LLP signed a 10-year extension for its 117,300-square-foot lease at an office property in Newark. 1-800-Flowers signed a 97,000-square-foot lease in Jericho in Long Island, which is about 20 percent larger than the company’s current office in North Hempstead. In total, the firm said it inked around 320,000 square feet of leases in March and April. [NJBIZ] РDennis Lynch
