Attention, realtors: New Yorkers want to enroll their kids in Hamptons-area schools

Hamptons schools are seeing a rise in inquiries from New York City parents about enrolling their children, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Some believe schools will open sooner on the East End than they will in the city. Others are less than enthusiastic about sending their kids on the New York subway. Others have signed long-term leases in their new locales.

One Brooklyn mother with a home in Sag Harbor said she’s enrolling her kids out East because a spike in cases in the city could cause another round of closures. “What’s going to give the kids the most consistentcy and best experience within the confines of the pandemic?” she said.
