Police arrested the owners of three Montauk restaurants this weekend during inspections for compliance with state coronavirus mitigation measures, according to Newsday. While police recorded violations of those rules, they arrested the operators for violating state liquor laws pertaining to signage and storage of alcohol. Police arrested Rick’s Crabby Cowboy Café owner Richard Gibbs, Ruschmeyer owner Vincenzo Lentini, and Jeffrey Capri, the manager of Nick’s on the Beach. They’re each charged with misdemeanors. Meanwhile, police said they visited Fire Island twice on Saturday to break up large crowds of people, although they did not issue any summonses. [Newsday] – Dennis Lynch
