Connecticut will be left with just one Lord & Taylor store after the three others in the state close and liquidate their assets as part of its parent company’s bankruptcy, according to the Connecticut Post.

The only store to survive is in Stamford. Stores in malls in Danbury, Trumbull and Farmington will close and liquidation sales are expected to begin this week.

The retailer’s parent company, Le Tote, is closing 20 stores nationwide — roughly half of the Lord & Taylor locations in the country. Le Tote filed for bankruptcy this weekend, joining a number of other retailers that have done so during the coronavirus pandemic. [Connecticut Post] — Dennis Lynch
