he number of Long Island homes selling for $1 million or more jumped considerably year-over-year last month, according to the latest Douglas Elliman report. Pending sales above that number jumped 151 percent from July 2019 across Long Island and excluding the East End, where the increase in pricey sales was even greater. That more than triple the 41 percent increase in sales across price ranges. The only segment in which pending sales dropped was for homes under $199,999, which saw a 20 percent decrease. Pending sales in the Hamptons more than doubled year-over-year and tripled in the $2 million to $10 million range.
