A recently completed mansion in Wainscott has entered the market asking $52 million, according to the Wall Street Journal. The six-bedroom house, spanning roughly 11,000 square feet, has a unique inverted pitched roof. It’s designed to take advantage of local zoning rules that allow greater heights for homes with pitches roofs. The boxy home is modern in style with lots of glass and teak wood siding. It sits on about 2.6 acres that its owners Marla and David Susser bought for $17 million. David Susser said he was “afraid to do the complete math” on the costs that went into designing and building the house. Corcoran’s Gary DePersia has the listing. [WSJ] — Dennis Lynch
