A restored modernist home built in the late 1970s in the Amagansett Dunes has been put on the market for $9.3 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The five-bedroom, 4,400-square-foot home was designed by the late architect Charles Gwathmey and still houses the built-in furniture he designed for the home more than 50 years ago.

The sellers, Ben and Julie Solomon, bought the home in 2014 for $4.25 million and spent four and a half years restoring it. They replaced the wood structural columns with steel and installed windows and siding to match the original design.

They restored some of the interiors but made some changes, including knocking down a wall to connect the kitchen and living space. They also added 33 solar panels to the roof and plan to install a Tesla Powerwall energy-storage system this summer.
