White Claw president finds buyer fast for $3.3M Lakeview home

Phil Rosse accepts offer on Lakeview mansion – one of two most expensive listings in the neighborhood – after just five days on the market

Phil Rosse is about to capitalize on a new buzz — this time around North Side real estate.

The president of the company behind well-known alcoholic beverages Mike’s Hard Lemonade and White Claw Hard Seltzer listed his Lakeview home for $3.25 million last week.

After just five days on the market, Rosse, president of the drinks’ parent company Mark Anthony Brands, has accepted an offer for the home at 3716 North Lakewood Avenue, according to public listing information. The sale is now marked as contingent, meaning it’s under contract and the buyer is working toward closing.

While its closing price has not yet been made public, high-end Chicago homes that lure buyers this quickly tend to go for at least their asking prices, if not more.

Rosse’s asking price is the second-priciest home listed in the Lakeview neighborhood currently. The most expensive is a seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom home across nearly 7,000 square feet at 3504 North Janssen Avenue asking $4.4 million.

That property, completed in recent months, is being marketed by Jason O’Beirne of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty. It’s down the road from another extra-wide lot at 3538 North Janssen, where a seller is seeking $5.75 million to work with a buyer that would design a custom home on the land.

With both the Janssen properties listed within the last week, there’s a push for more high-end homes in Lakeview. Agent Marvin Grahn has the listing at 3538 North Janssen.

Rosse purchased his 6,000-square-foot mansion for $2.75 million back in 2016, according to property records. He bought the home with his then-wife Teresa Rosse.

The six-bed, five-and-a-half-bath home has a rooftop breezeway and three garage spaces. It is a newly constructed building, built just a year before Rosse bought it in the spring of 2016, according to public listing information.

Rachel Krueger with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty has the listing. She declined to comment on the listing or the offer accepted by her client when contacted Wednesday.

Most other residential listings in the area fall in the $1-2 million range or below the million-dollar mark. The listing of a Lakeview mansion with an indoor pool for $5.7 million in the fall of 2022 marked the area’s highest asking price at that time.
