The South Street Seaport on the tip of Manhattan may expand into the Fulton Fish Market if that market moves to the Bronx this summer. The Seaport’s owner, General Growth Properties, has told the city it plans to exercise an option in its lease to take over portions of the fish market, including the Tin Building on Pier 17. The possible expansion is seen as an attempt by the struggling mall to reverse years of decline. more [NYT]
