List can stop solicitation from brokers

New York state’s Cease and Desist List can help keep real estate brokers at bay. Those residents who sign up for the list cannot be solicited over the phone, in person or through the mail, and brokers who do so anyway can be fined. The list now covers owners of one- to four-family homes in Queens as well as parts of the Bronx and Brooklyn. more [NYT]
