Groundbreaking will occur next month for the $400 million East River Science Park between 28th and 29th streets and First Avenue and the FDR Drive. Alexandria Real Estate Equities is the complex’s developer. The development will have three buildings totaling 1.1 million square feet of space. The project will be the city’s first dedicated campus for the life sciences. more [NYT]
