Annabelle Selldorf’s big debut

From the March issue: Recently named an “It architect” by the New York Post’s Home section, Annabelle Selldorf will be responsible for both interiors and exteriors for the first time with 520 West Chelsea. It’s a major-league debut: Her 11-story, 26-unit project on West 19th Street will face off with new projects in the area by Frank Gehry, Gary Handel, Audrey Matlock, Jean Nouvel and Robert A.M. Stern. The glass façde on the condo will be clad in a midnight blue-glazed terra cotta to maximize light and airiness. Units are priced from $1.7 to more than $8 million, and the building should be ready for occupancy next winter. more By Steve Cutler
