A group of Williamsburg artists are lobbying for Brooklyn’s Domino Sugar factory to be turned into a museum along the lines of London’s Tate Modern. The Tate Modern was, like the Domino, an unused industrial complex, and since opening in 2000 it has become one of London’s most popular tourist attractions. The push to consider transforming the Domino into a museum comes as developers Isaac Katan and CPC Resources plan to build 2,200 residential units on the site of the waterfront complex. more [Lost City]
