Resident files sues city over Columbus Village development

A resident filed a lawsuit today in an attempt to force the developer
of the Columbus Village project on the Upper West Side to
follow land-use regulations and respond to community input. The suit
lists the city Department of Buildings and 32 other entities as
defendants. It follows a report
issued by the DOB blaming the developer for the collapse of a retaining
wall at the site last summer, which caused an evacuation of the
adjacent building. The development at 808 Columbus Avenue includes five
residential towers, 320,000 square feet of retail space and an
underground parking garage. TRD
