Packard Bell Founder buys at 15CPW for $15 million

Packard Bell Electronics Inc. founder Beny Alagem paid $15.4 million for a condominium in 15 Central Park West, according to city property records posted today.

He and his wife Adele closed on the 15th floor, three-bedroom, 3,364-square-foot apartment on April 4.

Alagem, who founded the computer company in 1986, served as its chairman, president and chief executive officer before leaving in 1998. He bought the Beverly Hills Hilton in 2003.
