A judge has reduced the inheritance of the late Leona Helmsley’s dog Trouble from $12 million to $2 million, at the request of the dog’s trustees. The money will go into Helmsley’s multibillion-dollar foundation. Also, claims by three of Helmley’s disinherited grandchildren that the hotelier wasn’t mentally competent when she signed her will have led to a deal with Helmsley’s executors. The three grandchildren will now receive several million dollars, while other grandchildren had their inheritance reduced. Helmsley died at 87 last year.
