GFI Management names new CEO

GFI Management Services announced Frederick Mehlman as its new CEO today. GFI owns and manages about 100 multi-family properties, comprised of 20,000 units, nationwide. Mehlman will be responsible for the company’s operations, asset management and accounting functions. The Carlyle Group recently partnered with GFI, providing it with $300 million worth of equity to invest in assets. Mehlman just spent 14 years at Maxx Properties, where he oversaw a portfolio of more than 14,000 units as head of its management company.TRD
