Bed-Stuy gentrification slows

New Bedford-Stuyvesant residents and businesses have been waiting for the Brooklyn neighborhood to gentrify will have to wait longer. The average sales price of residential property in Bed-Stuy fell between April and June and the neighborhood had the second highest number of foreclosures in Brooklyn last year. In this year’s first two quarters, 50 residential building permits were issued, compared to 93 permits issued during the same time last year.
