Extreme Makeover: Foreclosure Edition

An ABC “Extreme Makeover” home in Lake City, Georgia, that faces foreclosure might get a last minute reprieve, a Chase spokesperson said. Mortgage holder Chase bank is working on a repayment plan with the owners, the Harpers, who used the home as collateral for a loan to finance a construction business that ultimately failed. ABC’s “Extreme Makeover” builds families new homes using volunteer labor and donated materials. The Harpers spent six days in Disney Land while their home was rebuilt. The development company involved, Beazar Homes, also raised $250,000 for scholarships for the family’s three children and a maintenance fund.
