Manhattan home prices drop

Manhattan’s average condo and co-op prices were down seven percent in the first two months of the third quarter, according to a New York Times review of closing prices in July and August. Median prices were also down six percent. The figures exclude sponsor sales at 15 Central Park West and The Plaza. Brokers said well-priced apartments are continuing to sell, while overpriced apartments are lingering on the market.
