Circuit City to close 155 stores

Electronics retailer Circuit City Stores Inc. announced
today it is closing about 20 percent of its stores in the U.S. The
retailer is shutting down 155 of more than 700 stores, including three locations
in the city. Circuit City also said it will reduce new store
openings and plans to work with landlords to renegotiate leases, lower rent or
terminate agreements.
