Forest City
Enterprises, the parent company of developer Forest City Ratner, is
suspending all new development, except for the Atlantic Yards project and developments already under construction.
Charles Ratner, president of Forest City Enterprises, said the financial
crisis has forced the company to shift focus from being a developer to being a property operator.
